In summer, the wide lawns and shaded trees provide a cool retreat, while in winter the crisp air and quiet atmosphere make for a refreshing stroll.

Hikawa Shrine

Within the park grounds lies Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, one of the most important shrines in the Kanto region. Believed to be over 2,000 years old, it’s dedicated to the Shinto god Susanoo. The long approach to the shrine, lined with towering trees, is a highlight in itself.
