- Second Ropeway (Shirakabadaira to Nishihotakaguchi Station): The highlight of the trip, this stage takes you up to 2,156 meters above sea level, where you can access Japan’s highest ropeway observation deck.

At the top station, Nishihotakaguchi, a large open-air deck gives you a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding peaks, including Mt. Nishihotaka, Mt. Yarigatake, and Mt. Kasagatake. Ticket Information
A round-trip ticket for the ropeway includes both stages of the journey. Discount passes are sometimes available, especially when purchased in combination with bus transportation from Takayama.
