Traveling Japan with Kids


There are carriage with disabled or pram space. Use this if you need to travel with a pram.

Kids under primary school do not need to pay for train tickets. be careful though when you’re using reserved seat as you are not paying means literally there is no seat for your child. Either sit your child on lap or see whether the seat next to you is free


There are many kids set in restaurants and they may give you a basket full of toys. Normally you select 1 you from there per kids set.

There are many cafes and restaurants that have smoking rooms. When making reservations or walk-in, make sure you ask non-smoking room as the room odour can be very bad
